The Stormbird
The stormbird runs as the mailboat on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It leaves Halibut Cove at 10am sharp and then returns again from Homer at 2pm sharp. Guests are welcome to take this service for a small fee. Please let us know before hand so we know to expect you.

Water Taxis
For a more customized schedule, a water taxi is a wonderful option. We highly recommend the following taxis for your transportation needs. Please note that these water taxis are the only companies permitted to deliver guests to Halibut Cove. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding booking your water taxi.

Halibut Cove Coffee House is situated on a sheltered sunny corner of the boardwalk. Come visit us between 9am - 5pm daily for a delicious coffee, snack and other treats.
The Saltry
The Saltry is open dailyfor lunch and dinner serving wonderful food, overlooking our beautiful cove.

The Experience Gallery displays the work of some very talented Halibut Cove Artists who work in an amazing range of mediums. Open 1-4 and 6-9 daily (June, July & August).

Alaska Shellfish Farms
Located in Halibut Cove, this family owned and operated business grows the best cold water oysters, mussels and sea vegetables around. There is a floating farm stand in summer months just a short kayak from our cabins.

Grewingk Glacier Trail
Just a short boat ride or kayak from Halibut Cove is one of the most popular attractions in Kachemak Bay. A well maintained trail leads you up to a spectacular view of the glacier at the lake.
